Executive Body Proposes Addenda to Laws on Television and Radio Activity and Advertising Regulation

At April 10 sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport moderated by the Deputy Chair of the Committee Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, the draft law on Making Addendum to the RA Law on Advertising was debated in the first reading. The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Vahe Danielyan gave details concerning the draft law.

The MPs touched upon particularly the broadcasting of the social advertising and the problems relating to the content of the paid advertisement.

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice reminded the attendees that the social advertising by law should have content on patriotic upbringing, preservation of culture, the protection of national interests and awareness of facing disasters and should be of non-commercial character.

The draft law was endorsed.

Vahe Danielyan presented for debate in the second reading the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law in Television and Radio.

The debated two draft laws with the endorsement of the Committee will be submitted for debate in one united legislative package.
